After years of half-finished projects, I’m finally sharing something that’s deeply connected to my everyday life, my future—and hopefully useful to others.
Who am I
I’m Eduardo, a 33-year-old expat in Germany. I’ve been battling GERD and navigating a sometimes frustrating healthcare system here, all while watching my body age faster than I’d like. When I was 26, my metabolic age was 18; today, at 33, my Renpho scale app reads 37. At this rate, I’ll be celebrating my 45th birthday in a nursing home.

Why start a blog about health and lifestyle now
We navigate a world that feels both turbulent and incredibly unstable, a world dominated by the dawn of AI, and with a promise of unlimited advancements in health and medicine. As I write, we’ve got to know about the first time a gene-editing therapy has been used to treat a baby born with a rare genetic disorder. Meanwhile, I’m waiting for all the promises of cure for Alzheimer, cancer, and other common life-changing diseases to come soon to my nearby hospital.
I’m starting to write because even with ChatGPT, Claude, or Google Gemini, I still struggle to:
- find straightforward, personalized accurate information to help me fight GERD
- make a personalized, maintainable plan to get me from sedentary to Inca Trail-ready
- learn all terminology i need to know about my body and physical condition (body fat, skeletal muscle, fat-free mass, BMR, all from my Renpho app, that I need to use my scale)
- learn all terminology i need to know whether i am progressing on improving my health on my Huawei Health app (what’s VO2max? What is running ability index? What’s lactate threshold? What do I need to know about my sleep data to improve it?)
- find a free or affordable AI-assisted coaching program to improve on health, career, financial life, relationships.
What to expect
This blog isn’t just my personal quest — it’s a shared journey. I’ll share my research, experiments, successes, and defeats to help you better understand your body and make informed choices.
One of the first things I’m diving into is improving endurance, or cardiorespiratory fitness (or aerobic fitness/cardiovascular fitness). As a sedentary, I envy people who can run for hours, or cycle long distances. But I also know it’s a path anyone can take and an achievable goal for anyone, you just need to know how to make AI help you, or pay money to a good physical trainer.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. What’s one health goal or question that’s on your mind right now? I’d genuinely love to hear from you in the comments below!
